SYSTEM:

  • Negative and positive pressure regimes to numerous buildings.
  • Live upgrade of existing 2MW chilled water plant to replace with 4MW water cooled chilled water plant without. disruption to existing hospital operation.
  • Upgrade of existing Cooling Towers and Condenser water plant.
  • Upgrade and replacement of existing medical gas plant.
  • Central plant Air Handling Units, including the provision of Rotary Heat Wheel Units, Fan Coil Units to critical IT infrastructure.
  • Negative & Positive Pressure Isolation Rooms fully air conditioned and ventilated by duty/standby fans c/w HEPA Modules.

ABOUT THE PROJECT:

The $44m upgrade to Hervey Bay Hospital Emergency Department includes a three-story building that will increase beds at the emergency department from 19 to 37, new education and learning facilities and a 24 – bed Clinical Decision Unit. There will also be additional space for a future inpatient ward and intensive care unit. Coolmaster completed the New Emergency department and central chilled water energy plant whilst ensuring no disruption to hospital operations or patient experience.
